I almost didn't get this sketch even though I won the raffle for a sketch at AX 2001. Normally they let the sketch winners get their sketches first before the artists do the regular autographs (the normal AX system), but for some reason for Hidenori Matsubara it was first come first serve. Because of this some sketch winners were not allowed to get sketches because they were near the back of the line so the AX staff told us to settle for an autograph and that we were "lucky to even get an autograph". I was part of that group, but the artist kindly decided to do a sketch for me when I came up. I think its because the guy in front of me (who was also a sketch winner that was not allowed to get a sketch) made a scene of some kind and after they kicked him out, they felt sorry for the rest of us.
